In March 2023, the Proceedings of the 10th International Scientific Meeting on Hellenistic Pottery, which would have taken place in March 2021 and was canceled due to the pandemic, were published. The Proceedings’ volume was published by the H.O.C.R.E.D. (Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development) and the publishing redaction of  E. Kotsou and M. Kazakou and the scientific supervision of  S. Drougou and  Ch. Kallini. The publication is dedicated to the memory of  I. Touratsoglou, the numismatist and archaeologist, who contributed decisively to the realization of the Scientific Meetings on Hellenistic Pottery. With the publication of the present volume of the Proceedings, most of the announcements of the colleagues, who would have participated in the 10th Meeting, are saved and at the same time with this volume, a circle of ten Scientific Meetings on Hellenistic Ceramics that took place over the thirty-five years (1986 -2023) with fruitful discussions and useful results for a difficult issue of the archeology of the Hellenistic times has been completed. At the same time, a series of more than twenty-five volumes on the same subject of Proceedings and Albums with rich content has been completed. The new volume of the 10th Meeting includes 51 announcements with archaeological material from various countries of the Hellenistic world, excavation sets, chronological problems and other issues of the Hellenistic Pottery, while in the opening speech the Professor of Ancient History A. Chaniotis describes the relationship of Hellenistic Ceramics with the economy and the society of the same period. The development of large political and economic centers with large populations in the Hellenistic World created a great spread of ceramics, resulting in the appearance of new types and practices in pottery products. As far as geography is concerned, the published papers cover the entire Hellenistic world and at the same time refer to special topics, local workshops and new techniques. Upon completion of the cycle of ten Scientific Meetings and the publication of their Proceedings, it was made possible to describe the central issue of Hellenistic Ceramics in a real and right way. There is still a large field of research and the Scientific Meetings will continue their work probably with a new works-schema and new questions.
